Probably due to the script being a little bit messy and the Writers were too busy striking, the new "Star Trek" movie, directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, and Tyler Perry (which is just a reason for me to stay away from the film) has been pushed back from it's original release date on December 25, 2008 to May 8, 2009. Paramount commented saying that it would make more money during the summer time, which is probably true on all counts, but it seems a little bit fishy to me since a lot more other films were pushed back with it, as well as David Fincher's newest film "The Curious Cage of Benjamin Button" and some Marlon Waynes comedy.
