"13 Hours in a Warehouse" recently had it's world premiere, at the "Nevermore Film Festival"

The film is about a group of hired thieves, who spend the night in abandon warehouse along with a hostage. Their heist went perfect, as they wait for their boss to arrive in the morning. Two of the thieves, knew the place was used, for a porn studio. Soon, mysterious numbers begin to strangely appear all over the warehouse and slowly find out that the warehouse was more than a porn studio. Now the thieves have a big problem, as they find out that there is a mysterious presence that is haunting the place and they don’t want them to see daylight.

Usually I see, three to four horror films a week. I admit, it takes me fifteen – twenty minutes to get into a movie every time I review a feature length film. However, 13 Hours in a Warehouse had me hooked from the first shot on.

13 Hours in a Warehouse is one of the most original supernatural horror films I’ve seen in a while, from both the independent and major studios systems. Writer/Director Dav Kaufman did a very good job with the directing and screenplay aspects of the film. He sets the tone early, when has his main characters talking like characters found, in a Quentin Tarantino film. Amazingly, these characters worked. The characters help get your interest level up so that you are interested in the film later on. Kaufman’s direction of his actors was very good. Their performances come out very well, as the actors seemed energized. The effects were also very good. The ghost effects were creepy and static looking, which helped them look frightening on screen.

Kaufman’s screenplay was very original, for a supernatural film. I liked how, he blends elements of films like Reservoir Dogs, Saw, Hostel", and Heist" together here. The elements help make this, very original and keeps your attention through out. The story here was very good. Kaufman’s Story also has a lot of twists and turns that keeps the film interesting. Kaufman makes the thieves likeable, in the same way that Tarantino does with his films. He also does the same with the ghosts, as you have to remember that the thieves were also bad guys in the film. The scares were very effective, especially when the disturbing elements were added in midway through the film.

The acting makes this film, even more enjoyable for me. The actors were, into their roles. The male leads were just great with each other. The chemistry was very good. These five actors would fit right into, a low-budget Quentin Tarantino film, if he’d make another low-budget film.

13 Hours in a Warehouse is a film that you should definitely watch out, on the festival circuit. The film delivers, with the scares and character twists. This is a film that you should definitely check out, if it plays at your local film festival.

You can catch the next screening of 13 Hours in a Warehouse at the Indie Spirit Film Festival on Saturday April 26th in Colorado Springs, Co.

Just saw this film and loved it! The story was captivating, the acting (compared to other low budget flicks) was great. It didn't use over-the-top T&A or blood and guts to drive the story or to try and shock us. Frankly, it didn't insult my intelligence as so many other films in the genre have. It's exactly what I would like to see from more low-budget indie films!!

bad film. acting was wooden and there was no real chemistry between the actors. there was only one part that made me kind of jump its the bit where the hostage is being chased whilst being filmed in night vision and one of the ghost suddenly appears. the ghost effect arent original theyre ripped off from 1408 (superb film!). could have been better if the person who chose the cast would have put some effort into finding convincing actors.

this movie starts great but as time goes you find it going badly, first the ghosts okay so they come out as if they from the TV or these videos so no problems, but the movie has A LOT of glitches,
    1. starting by the fire they sat around at start of movie it wasn't real since no smoke no nothing the wood was just strange out of the barrel and no vapors later toward movie end its like a big cloudy smoke coming out..hello? that was cheap lighting at beginning

    2. as they go around all the time it never showed this wall of 32369 unless the guy says so, and it only passed before it once having the numbers so how the hell he ask "if this was there?" come on it was there all the time it showed it

    3. okay biggest of all is the music and camera style shooting towards the end at the part starting from the brother helping the girl "Jennifer" out of the office, it was totally changed from a movie shooting to a TV low budget series, the music is like from 70's kungfu movie sound effects, it totally ruined it, something went wrong or director wasn't awake doing it.

Seriously the movie was great start but goes bad by time, script, directing and camera needed to be taken good care of as good as the movie starts. I seen a lot of movies lets say somehow this one can pass a bit.

Original? Are you kidding? This ripped off Reservoir Dogs, The Ring, 8MM, and Silence of the Lambs.

How many grammatical errors and tense mistakes appear in the first two sentences of this review?

The film is about a group of hired thieves who spend the night in abandon warehouse along with a hostage, after their heist went perfect. As they wait for their boss to arrive in the morning, two of the thieves knew the place was used for a porn studio.

I count six. How many did you spot?

Well I for one really liked this movie and I don't know what the hell you people are talking about. Ripped off? There was nothing ripped off in this movie. If you think so, then every cop movie rips off every other cop movie, or every doctor or lawyer show on TV is a rip off of the next one. This movie a lot better than most crap I see on the rental shelves, and I totally agree with Anthony, and his review. I read somewhere that this movie was made for something like 60 grand. How many other ultra low budget films can you find with as many awards this film has won and how wide a release it got? Only one other comes to mind. Something about some kind of witch project.

PS: How many grammatical errors are there in this review? What are you twelve?

I know, I've tried editing this review many times. I'm glad you noticed them, as this wiil help me be a better writer, in the future

Just to be clear. Anthony, that comment "are you twelve" was directed at the twelve year old who made that stupid comment. Not you. Keep up the good work!

PS: I never would have heard of this film if it wasn't for your review. Thanks for putting us on to it. My BF and I really liked it!

Absolutely terrible film, and very poorly written review that is completely incorrect.

The screenplay is abysmal! The "actors" just short of High School level thespians.

Camera work, editing, sets, all awful...just awful.

I've been known to like bad movies, but this isn't one of those so bad it's good flicks. It's just really, really bad.
