Yes, it's true! Horton Hears A Who brought in a whopping $45.1 million on its opening weekend (3/14-3/16). Jim Carrey, (Horton) who was also the voice of "The Grinch" in Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas, is loved by children everywhere. And with Spring break coming up, 20th Century Fox says it shouldn't be a problem making back its $85 million production budget.
In second place was Warner Bros. 10,000 B.C. in its second week, bringing in not even half as much as Horton with $16.4 million.
[Editor's Note: "Funny Games" is out in theaters also. I recommend that each and every one of you to check that one out as soon as possible. It won't be out for much longer.]
