This should have happened ages ago, but better late than never, eh? Eddie Murphy was talking to Extra the other day and he broke the news about something that is so awesome it isn’t funny (actually, it is). Murphy decides that it is about time that he should retire acting and go back to his stand-up. He should have done this before “Meet Dave” (and before “Norbit” and “Pluto Nash”), but yes, Eddie “Norbit” Murphy is finally about to retire! He says that “Beverly Hills Cop 4” isn’t just ready yet and that he only wanted to do it. He also explains about number three in the series. "They said this is how much we're going to pay you. I said, 'let's go shoot it! I don't care if the script ain't right." That explains “Norbit” and “Pluto Nash.” Hell, he was paid almost five times more money for “Nash” than what the film actually made in the box office.

Oh, and if you were wondering, if the project ("BHC4") is still going to be made, it WILL be rated R. Just for clarification.

It's probably just as well. For every great movie he makes, he makes another 3 that suck ever so seriously. I am glad to hear that he is waiting on BHC4 so they can work on the script some more. You can definitely tell that they didn't even try to come out with a good script for BHC3.
