“The Dark Knight” might not break the highest-grossing movie record that “Titanic” currently holds for the theatrical run, but it has a chance to during the re-release. Yes, Warner Bros. are releasing the new Batman film in big-screen theaters in January, in hopes of getting nominated for a few Oscars. This is some good strategy, but there are two problems with this – 1. The DVD will already be out come December. 2. With the exception of Best Supporting Actor (who will get nominated, I have no idea – tossup between Heath and Aaron, flip the coin) and maybe some Special Effects and Sound Mixing awards, I really don’t see this movie getting too many nominations. But who knows? “The Dark Knight” is still out in theaters now.
