Hey guys! This is a new segment that I am trying to get started. I don't know how long it will last, or if I will even be able to post one of these everyday, but I'm going to try. Right now, this is just a thing to: 1) Occupy my time, and 2) Get some of the crazy ideas that are flowing through my head out into the open. This is good because it gives a chance for the Arcaders and our wonderful readers to interact with one another, almost like a forum. Of course, once we switch over to WordPress, we will have official "forums", but this will serve it's purpose for now. Another good thing about this is that there is always going to be something new to read and think about on FilmArcade, even when it's a slow movie week.

Basically, I will type a question, and you guys can comment on your thoughts on it. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO BE INTERACTIVE! I know, Jerry has it down perfect already =), but for the rest of you, I want to see some participation. I would really like to see some kind of unity of the FilmArcade family, and some real interactive conversations in the comment log. And, maybe, spill over into some friendly debates?

So, this is a test run: Just one of the new additions that will be happening to FilmArcade. Below is today's first question. Read it, and then comment on your thoughts. Feel free to type as much as you want, as many times as you want. Also, feel free to argue like maniacs in the comment logs (in a FRIENDLY way, of course). Have fun!

Question: Are you totally and utterly sick of the 2008 Presidential Campaign yet?

Well, my inspiration for this question came when I turned on my computer today to check FilmArcade, and my homepage (Yahoo) popped up with it's head story about Sarah Palin (McCain's VP)... AGAIN! For the past three days in a row whenever I turned my computer on, it was all Sarah Palin.

So quite frankly, I am sick of the election already. And just to prove my point more, I can't sit through ANY teleision program without seeing the same attack ads twenty times.

Now, this question isn't meant to be a political one. (Because I hate political debates). I just want to hear your thoughts on whether you're sick of it all already or not.

    Comments?

Actually I am sick of the nonsense, but I am not sick of the campaigns-- if they would get back to the real issues that would be nice.
But I love watching the conventions and the public affairs shows and the some of cable news shows as well.
I love politics as I have gotten older. I also live in the heart of the beast-- the DC Metro area.
You can say I am addicted to it.
This is the most exciting election of my lifetime.

I agree that it is the most exciting election in long time, but I was sick of the blathering months ago. The shame is, by now we should be paying attention, and the process just makes us numb. Questions like this make me realize I should shake off the cynicism, pay attention to the candidates and the issues and make an informed choice when I vote. We'll see how the next 9 weeks shake out! Thanks for the question.

You know, Jerry and Linda, you make a great point. This election is very important for me for two reasons:

    1) Either way, this election makes history. We either have our nation's first African-American president, or our nation's first female Vice President (Which is ESPECIALLY crucial, because God forbid anything should happen to McCain, she steps up as his successor and becomes the first female president. Very important election.

    2) This is the very last election that I have before I can actually VOTE in one. By the next election, I will be able to vote. So this election is like a test run for me. I want to seroiusly sit down and look at the important issues, and make my decision on who I would vote for if I could. However, so far, I haven't seen many issues at all. As the time gets closer to November, I hope to see more of what each leader would bring to the Nation, not just He voted on this, he raised taxes, blah blah. The Attack Ads are pointless.
