Bikini Bloodbath Carwash Trailer:
Bikini Bloodbath Carwash” is the sequel to the funny “Bikini Bloodbath”, which I reviewed, in my Reviews From The Horror Chamber column, earlier this year. The story picks up months later, where Jenny (Rachel Robbins), now a freshman at a community college, who is working at a Ms. Johnson’s (Debbie Rochon) bikini carwash to pay for her tuition. Soon one day after work, with seven of her friends, they decide to hold a séance. The Séance goes terribly wrong, when they accidentally resurrect the infamous Chef Death, the same killer that killed almost all of Jenny’s friends. Now, he’s back for revenge, as he invades the year-end carwash party and is hell-bent, on starting another bloodbath.
Even though, the first film was good, “Bikini Bloodbath Carwash” is a much more entertaining film, than the first one. Everything felt better, from the story to the production. One of the reasons, why this was better, was the fact that the direction was better and the film was gorier. Both, Jon Gorman and Thomas Edward Seymour did a great job with handling of the direction. I liked, how the two didn’t try and just remake the same film again with the low production value and the over the top violence. The film differs because it spends more time, with its characters, before getting to the violence. The violence scenes came off, as gorier and bloodier, than the first one, which is a plus. They did that by making the death scenes more horrifying, than using it for stupid humor and cheesiness, which the first one felt at times. The acting was also better from the first film. One of the reasons for that was that Debbie Rochon, who was very funny in this, has a much bigger role than the first film and the lead performance from Rachael Robbins was good, as she makes the main character in the series, more funnier and entertaining, than in the previous film. Those two actresses on their game also made this film much better and funnier, than the first film.
The script written, by Gorman and Seymour was very good, as the humor and usage of the horror element were much better, than the first film. One of the things that I liked in their screenplay was the fact that it didn’t rush the action, like the first one did. It gave to time to establish the characters and the humor, which made the first twenty minutes funny and entertaining. The humor was good, as it was the mostly the same jokes that they used in the first one, but it comes off, a little more funnier. The reason for that was the story development, as the characters were given more quirks and were more outrageous, then in the previous film.
I had a very fun time with his film, as I can’t wait the next film in the series “Bikini Bloodbath Christmas, which should be out next year, according to IMDB.com “Bikini Bloodbath Carwash” is more bloodier and funnier than “Bikini Bloodbath”.
Review Rating: Four Stars
Sounds like a fun, cheesy film.
