
Wolfe Video recently send us information about their upcoming DVD release "Trigger", which played at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. The film is latest film from Bruce McDonald, the director of "The Tracy Fragments" and "Pontypool". "Trigger" stars Molly Parker (Deadwood) and Tracy Wright in her final film before her death. You expect the film to hit DVD shelves on November 22nd

The critically-acclaimed, international festival hit Trigger debuts on DVD and Digital November 22nd from Wolfe Video. The film stars avant-garde actress Tracy Wright (Highway 61, This Movie is Broken) in her final performance before her tragic death from cancer, and Molly Parker (TV’s “Deadwood”) as two female rockers who reunite ten years after their band’s dramatic breakup. Nominated for four GENIE Awards, including Best Actress nominations for both leads, Trigger received a Special Citation from the Toronto Film Critic’s Association for Director Bruce McDonald (This Movie is Broken, Pontypool) and was selected as one of the Toronto International Film Fest’s Top Ten films for 2010. Trigger will be available on DVD for $24.95 SRP.
Synopsis:
Two women rockers (Molly Parker, Tracy Wright) whose friendship fell apart along with their band, reunite ten years later for a benefit concert. After their long estrangement, they come together for dinner, the concert, and the after-party, with the hope of recapturing their once-magical connection.
Directed by Bruce McDonald from a screenplay by Daniel MacIvor (Wilby Wonderful, Whole New Thing), Trigger was produced by Leonard Farlinger and Jennifer Jonas, with Dany Chiasson, Hugh Dillon, Bryan Gliserman and Callum Keith Rennie acting as executive producers.
Trigger has a running time of 78 minutes and is not rated.
