Yes we're at it again. This time we're showcasing some of the films that are playing at this year's SXSW Film Festival that happening on March 9th-17th. This time we're starting early to provide the best coverage possible. We'll be showcasing the films along with any news that comes along our way. The first film is this year's coverage "Starlet".
The film is apart of the SXSW Film Festival Narrative Competition. It's Sean Baker's follow-up to the acclaimed PRINCE OF BROADWAY, winner of the Best Narrative Feature at the Los Angeles Film Festival and was named as one of the best films of 2010 by the Los Angeles Times. "Starlet" stars Dree Hemingway, Besedka Johnson, Stella Maeve, James Ransone, Karren Karagulian. The film will be having its world premiere on Sunday, March 11 at the Stateside Theater in Austin,TX.

Plot Synopsis:
STARLET explores the unlikely friendship between 21 year-old Jane (Dree Hemingway), and 85 year-old Sadie (Besedka Johnson), two women whose worlds collide in California's San Fernando Valley. Jane spends her time getting high with her dysfunctional roommates, Melissa and Mikey, while taking care of her Chihuahua, Starlet. Sadie, an elderly widow, passes her days alone, tending to her flower garden.
After a confrontation between the two women at Sadie's yard sale, Jane uncovers a hidden stash of money inside a relic from Sadie's past. Jane attempts to befriend the caustic older woman in an effort to solve her dilemma and secrets emerge as their relationship grows.
