Scorpio Film Releasing recently send us over information and stills for one of their upcoming releases "Dr. Frankenstein's Wax Museum of the Hungry Dead". The film marks the thirteenth film from director Richard Griffin, who has directed such crazy films as "Nun of That","The Disco Exorcist" and "Murder University".
Future happenings for Scorpio Film Releasing include the upcoming DVD releases of MURDER UNIVERSITY and EXHUMED, production on the dark psychological drama NORMAL, written by Lenny Schwartz, and the late 2013 production of THE DISCO EXORCIST sequel, BROTHER OF THE DISCO EXORCIST, written by Tony Nunes.

FRANKENSTEIN'S WAX MUSEUM OF THE HUNGRY DEAD. A celebration of Horror and the genre's greatest personalities, DR. FRANKENSTEIN'S WAX MUSEUM OF THE HUNGRY DEAD is a terrifying, often funny experiment in terror introducing actress Jamie Lyn Bagleyas Katherine and starring Michael Thurber (MURDER UNIVERSITY) in a new and twisted take on the sadistic Dr. Frankenstein. DR. FRANKENSTEIN'S WAX MUSEUM OF THE HUNGRY DEAD is directed by Richard Griffin from a script by Seth Chitwood and Griffin.
DR. FRANKENSTEIN'S WAX MUSEUM OF THE HUNGRY DEAD follows a group of teenagers who spend the night in a creepy wax museum in Salem, MA only to find out that it's the secret lair of Dr. Frankenstein, who has been performing profane experiments on the town residents to create ... piece by piece... the ultimate nightmare.
Director Richard Griffin says "for my thirteenth feature, I decided to go back to my roots and make a small, atmospheric, Euro-tinged horror film in the vein of one of my idols, Jess Franco. I was so lucky to find this amazing location (Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery) in Salem, MA. My co-writer Seth Chitwood and I rapidly produced a screenplay in just a few days ... and just a couple of weeks later we were on set and shooting! So far, the shoot has been a dream. The cast and crew are just amazing... and everyday our talented FX artists are creating blood soaked nightmares that I know the audience will just eat up!
Actress Jamie Lyn Bagley (Katherine) says "It's been a blast! Such positive energy from everyone on set. I want to do this everyday. It's been my lifelong dream to be in a horror film, and I am so thrilled to live the dream!"
Actor Michael Thurber (Dr. Frankenstein) explains that this has been "absolutely the most fun I've had so far with SFR!! Could not be more excited to just get to the set!!"
