Scorpio Film Releasing recently send us information for their newest production "Normal". The film is the latest film from director Richard Griffin (Exhumed, The Disco Exorcist). It's a feature-length, dark, psychological thriller, exploring of the complexity and darkness of the human psyche.

Fresh off their award-winning, internationally distributed feature film success, "Murder University", Scorpio Film Releasing is teaming up again with playwright and screenwriter, Lenny Schwartz for a new, different style of film entitled, "Normal".
"Normal" is a feature-length, dark, psychological thriller, exploring of the complexity and darkness of the human psyche. The production is bringing west coast actors Michael Reed and Sarah Nicklin back to Rhode Island to star in the film. Principal photography begins in May. The cast also includes local actors Nat Sylva, Elyssa Baldassari, Rich Tretheway, Monica Camera Saviolakis, Michael Thurber, David Wilson, Shannon Hartman, Patrick Keeffe, Samantha Acampora, Christopher Ferreira and Ben Royer.
Writer Lenny Schwartz of the Daydream Theater Company says, "Normal is the script I am most proud of out of all that I have written. It's the one I feel closest to, the one I cannot shake no matter how much I try. It's a dark journey, and I am so honored to have such talented actors, and such an amazing production team. The only person in the world who can direct this is Richard, my comrade in arms. He is the only person I know who understands this script without ever having to say he does."
Director Griffin responds, "When I first read the screenplay for Normal from Lenny Schwartz, I found that with each page my emotions ran the gamut from a deep, visceral sadness to unmitigated fear. So many movies today are violent, but what Lenny wrote so brilliantly was a movie about violence. And not the blood and guts variety, but a violence that's deep, emotional and profound. Weeks after reading the screenplay I couldn't shake the emotions, and I still can't. I hope the audience shares in the same troubling nightmare Lenny wrote so brilliantly when they see the film in theaters. I am honored to have the chance to direct such a masterwork."
With less than two weeks to finish their fundraising Indiegogo Campaign, Schwartz and Scorpio Film Releasing are still asking for help in filling up the contribution jar in order to make the film. Surprise news came this week in the form of a Patron of the Arts who will act as an Angel to the project, Normal. For any and all money raised for the Indiegogo Campaign, the anonymous donor will match the donations dollar for dollar. If they raise $1,000, the donor will match it with $1,000. If they raise $2,000, the donor will match it with another $2,000, etc. On the Indiegogo page you can see the perks you will receive for your donation.
