From director Wayne Capps (DOCUMENTING THE GREY MAN) and Independent Entertainment comes an eerie tale of supernatural forces and ancient evil.
Filmed in the low country of South Carolina using mostly local cast and crew, THE RIPPING tells the story of the Thompson family as they move into their new home and meet their new neighbors, including Christian, a child with a dark history. Unsettling events escalate as the Thompson’s discover an ancient evil might be lurking, literally, next door.

Unsettling events escalate into animal atrocities shortly after the Thompson family moves into their new home. Suspecting the neighbor’s son Christian is behind the disturbing events, Laura Thompson consults with a new friend, whose tales of the occult lead her to dig deep into local legends of the paranormal. Faced with a growing sense of connection to the child, Laura begins to wonder what really is “the evil that lives next door?”
