NY Post reported earlier that Robert Rodriguez and Rose McGowan broke up. Yes, I know how we are a film site and I’ll never report on a celebrity unless if it has to do with their life condition (Patrick Swayze, Heath Ledger) or if they are starring in a role that is worth mentioning, but I’m reporting on this because this rules out almost all possibilities of Rose McGowan starring in the remakes for “Red Sonja,” “Barbarella,” and that damn “Woman in Chains.” Reportedly they broke up because Rodriguez couldn’t get the right budget that he wanted with McGowan playing the main character in the “Barbarella” remake. Studios didn’t think that she was a big enough star, and after that “Grindhouse” flop, no one wants he name associated with a flick for a while… at least until that thing blows over.

UPDATE!!!: It appears that People contacted McGowan's PR. They said that McGowan and Rodriguez are still together and the projects will still go on.

Gee, I wonder which director she's gonna seduce for film roles next!

    The plot thickens...

That was quicker than I thought.
Did she get to keep the gun?

Damn, too bad. Barbarella was one of the few ideas for a remake that made sense. I think she would have been great for the role.
