Cult Horror Film "Subspecies" Makes Blu-Ray Debut

Full Moon Features announced recently that "Subspecies" will be released for the first time Blu-Ray, in conjunction with its twentieth anniversary. It will also be availible on the DVD format, as well. The film starring Anders Hove and Angus Scrimm is one of Full Moon more popular films and has had a following, since its original release on VHS in 1991.

The film will be converted in High Definition for the very time in a 16x9 Widescreen ratio. The disc will contain the original videozone, with a behind the scenes look of the film. Subspecies will be available only at Fullmoondirect.com starting Monday July 25th.

Plot Synopsis:

Three students studying the folklore of Transylvania uncover more than they anticipated when they stumble upon a clan of vampires ruled by the monstrous Radu. The sadistic vampire becomes obsessed with making them his fledglings and pursues them relentlessly. Wielding the power of the Bloodstone, a relic that drips the blood of the saints, Radu and his subspecies—a pack of small, sinister creatures—give the girls a true understanding of the local mythology.
