Columbia College Chicago's student based Team Havik Films and Chopin Productions launch their first major film project, Pursuit. It is a Sci-Fi Thriller based on the screenplay by Andrew Havlik (Adero's Lovely Breakup Note, coming to MTV networks, Jan Verner's Imagination, and creator of Team Havik Films), Miles Robinson (Adero's Lovely Breakup Note, Director/Writer), Rory Cunningham, and Laura Martino. Success has become this production's second name. "All coverage we were planning on capturing took place, even though some shortcuts and compromises had to be made, just as on any major production with a tight budget and schedule," says Andrew Havlik, the Director of Photography and one of the Producers of the film. The film was shot in Berrien Springs, Michigan between August 27th to 31st and in downtown Chicago Sept 1st through the 8th. Headquarters for the Michigan dates were at the Berrien Springs Public High School, Home of the Shamrocks. The principal, David Eichberg, was kind enough to give access to the gym and kitchen facilities. One of the film's most major locations was Chicago's Field Museum, supervised by Jim Holstein, Geology Department. Tori Buckley, Pursuit's Dialogue Coach and Assistant Director states, "The whole crew pulled through and and did an amazing job on working together on the good and bad and we should have an amazing film." Columbia College Chicago has agreed to show the film at a premiere screening on their 8th floor big screen where the Take One film festivals are held "if the editing is completed in a timely manner," thanks to the backing of multiple student unions. "We currently have five editors including myself working on the post production editing, plus an entire sound department headed up by our lead sound designer, Tyler Warble. This film should be a lot of fun, so don't miss it!"
