Press Release:

Since 2009 horror blogger, Chuck Conry, has ran the horror site Zombies DON’T Run. In September he will step away from the keyboard and take his turn at creating a new entry into the genre he loves soo much. The results of this will be a film titled, MORBID, a blood soaked film that will take us back to the golden age of slasher films with a little bit of self-awareness added in.

In MORBID a small town becomes the playground to a masked killer stalking and killing the locals for no apparent reason. With the town’s sheriff and locals still more worried about a high school football game than getting to the bottom of what’s going on, one detective from out of town must rush to save the lives of a group of teens tossing a party in the middle of all the chaos. But as we soon learn these teens have some complicated issues of their own.

Filming in and around the home of Bonnaroo, Manchester Tennessee, Chuck will be joined by a cast of local actors and theater actors which will also include the Zombies DON’T Run staff of Ryan Grooms (aka Dr.Groosome) and Brandon “Goob” Layne, with a special appearance by the author of the horror themed cookbook, Cannibal Kitchen, Shannon Rullo.

MORBID is set to start filming in less than two weeks with hopes of a release at the end of 2012 or early 2013.
