Welcome to the 963rd edition of my series.  I hope everyone is hanging in there in these crazy times.  I will still bring this and continue to work towards a good performance in MUCH ADO ABOUT MURDER which happens October 24-26 and October 31-November 2 at the Imagine Performing Arts in Connersville.  I will shut up and just get on with the selections.

Dark Prince:  The True Story of Dracula (2000):  Joe Chappelle directed this version of the legendary vampire which takes a look at the history of Vlad Dracul aka Vlad the Impaler rather than adapting from the classic Bram Stoker novel.  Rudolf Martin stars as Vlad Tepes who wants vengeance for his father and to liberate the kingdom from Turkish annexation.  He gets an army together to wage a war and as time goes on, Vlad becomes more sadistic which concerns his wife Lidia, played by Jane March.  The church starts to spread rumors on Vlad claiming him to be a vampire.  The Who singer Roger Daltry, Razvan Vasilescu, Claudiu Bleont, Claudiu Trandafir, Niels Brinks, and many others co-star in this film.  Martin reprises his role in the season five premiere of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER which happened the same year.  As mentioned, this is more about the history than the novelization we know today.  I'm not really sure of the historical accuracy but it is a pretty compelling look at the legend.

Lisa Frankenstein (2024):  Zelda Williams directed this variation of the Mary Shelley classic which was written by Diablo Cody.  Kathryn Newton stars as high school senior Lisa who does not fit in well at school and has a crush who happens to be a corpse.  A freak accident brings this corpse, played by Cole Sprouse, to life and Lisa must do what she can to keep him a secret.  The creature also has protective tendencies for Lisa.  Liza Soberano, Jenna Davis, Paola Andino, Joshua Montes, Joey Harris, Henry Eikenberry, Jennifer Pierce Mathus, Luke Sexton, Jailyn Rae, Bryce Romero, Carla Gugino, Joe Chrest, and many others co-star in this horror comedy.  This takes place in the '80s and has a great look for that decade.  I believe Mary Shelley would enjoy this adaptation of her work.  This is also a really good love story even if it might be a bit strange.

Captain America:  Civil War (2016):  Anthony and Joe Russo directed this installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe which is essentially an Avengers film.  When they are out trying to save the world, an incident happens that people are killed in the crossfire.  This causes fear with superheroes and how far they can go.  Chris Evans reprises his role of Steve Rogers who opposes a law that would have to make them register as superheroes.  A more guilt-ridden Tony Stark, reprised by Robert Downey Jr., supports the law which causes a rift between him and Steve.  Steve is joined by Scarlett Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen, Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie, Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, Ant-Man, played by Paul Rudd, and Winter Soldier, played by Sebastian Stan.  Tony is joined by Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, Vision, played by Paul Bettany, War Machine, played by Don Cheadle, the debuting Black Panther, played by Chadwick Boseman, and the debuting Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland.  Emily Vancamp, Daniel Bruhl, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, Martin Freeman, Marisa Tomei, John Kani, John Slattery, Hope Davis, Alfre Woodard, Kerry Condon, and many others co-star in this superhero film.  This is one of the best in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  This has a great story and some very good action.  I would recommend the two One Shots of TEAM THOR when this is over.  This is available to watch on Disney Plus.

Crooked Road (1958):  This is my "short film" for the week which is actually an episode of ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS.  Richard Kiley and Patricia Breslin star in this episode as married couple Mr. and Mrs. Adams.  They are pulled over in a small town by the corrupt cop Officer Chandler, played by Walter Matthau, who also arrests them looking to get extortion money.  As time goes on, the couple finds that the town in general is very corrupt.  Richard Erdman and Charles Watts co-star in this episode.  This comes from the fourth season of the series.  As always, the show opens with Hitchcock talking about the episode and taking jabs at the sponsors.  This is a good and disturbing episode with a really good twist at the end.

The Phantom of the Opera (1925):  This is my silent film which was directed by Rupert Julian and based on the novel by Gaston Leroux.  Long before Andrew Lloyd Webber brought us that popular musical, Lon Chaney starred as the disfigured composer who is lurking in the theater and forms an obsession with the underused Christine Daae, played by Mary Philbin.  The Phantom makes serious threats to the star of the theater Carlotta, played by Mary Fabian.  Norman Kerry, Arthur Edmund Carewe, Gibson Gowland, John St. Polis, and many others co-star in this silent classic.  Chaney plays the scariest looking Phantom of all time, and it still holds up today.  This is probably Chaney's most famous role and rightfully so.  This is perfect for the season for fans of classic horror.  This is available to watch on MGM+, Tubi, Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Dove Channel, Fawesome, and Screambox.

The Little Shop of Horrors (1960):  Roger Corman directed and co-wrote this classic B-movie about a carnivorous plant.  Jonathan Haze stars as the clumsy Seymour Krelborn who works in a flower shop and is on thin ice with his boss Gravis Mushnick, played by Mel Welles.  Seymour manages to save his job through a hybrid plant which he calls Audrey Jr. after his co-worker Audrey, played by Jackie Joseph.  He finds that his plant favors human blood making him commit misdeeds to keep his newfound fame and popularity.  Dick Miller, Myrtle Vail, Karyn Kupcinet, Toby Michaels, Leola Wendorff, Wally Campo, Jack Warford, Meri Welles, Jack Nicholson, and many others co-star in horror comedy.  This would give way to the popular musical we know today and where I got to play Mr. Mushnik.  A young Nicholson has an amusing bit role as a dental patient and had only been in a couple other movies before this one.  This would be a good double feature to go along with Corman's BUCKET OF BLOOD which has similar themes.

Predator (1987):  John McTiernan directed this classic sci-fi horror film.  Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Dutch whose military unit is sent to a mission in a Central American jungle.  On the mission, they encounter an extraterrestrial warrior who is picking off the unit one by one.  Carl Weathers, Kevin Peter Hall, Elpidia Carrillo, Bill Duke, Sonny Landham, Richard Chaves, R.G. Armstrong, Shane Black, and may others co-star in this sci-fi film.  This is ranked very high in the world of sci-fi and horror and still holds up today.  It also has some great one-liners like "I ain't got time to bleed".  There is not much that needs to be said about this iconic film which was the start to a franchise.

The Ghost (1963):  Riccardo Freda directed and co-wrote this Italian horror film.  Barbara Steele stars as Barbara Hichcock who is having an affair with Dr. Charles Livingstone, played by Peter Baldwin.  They are actually plotting to murder Barbara's ailing husband John, played by Elio Jotta.  They believe they have killed him, but strange things start to happen and wonder if he is haunting them.  Harriet Medlin, Umberto Raho, and many others co-star in this film.  This is quite the chiller with lots of twists and turns.  This is a great one for the season to watch with some friends.

Them (1954):  Gordon Douglas directed this sci-fi classic.  James Whitmore, Edmund Gwenn, Joan Weldon, and James Arness team up to address the issue of ants that have grown very large and are out killing people.  This is the result of atomic testing in New Mexico.  Onslow Stevens, Sean McClory, Christian Drake, Sandy Descher, Mary Alan Hokanson, Fess Parker, Olin Howland, and many others co-star in this sci-fi film.  This is actually good sci-fi horror film and not just some B-movie to riff.  The special effects still hold up very well for this era and has some really good action.

Hereditary (2018):  I end the week with this horror film which was directed and written by Ari Aster.  Toni Collette stars as Annie whose mother has died.  Gabriel Byrne co-stars as Annie's husband Steve and Alex Wolff and Milly Shapiro co-star as their kids Peter and Charlie who all become affected by cryptic and terrifying secrets about their family ancestry driving Annie to insanity.  Steve does what he can to keep the sanity in his family but may not be able to outrun a possible sinister fate.  Christy Summerhays, Mallory Bechtel, Jake Brown, and many others co-star in this film.  This has a legitimate creep factor in it.  This is not one big happy family and we continue to see A24 working out really well.  Aster makes a great directorial debut with this film.

Well, that is it for this week, but I do have a six-week project that starts today called "My Own Madness".  Tell me what you like and dislike and stay tuned for next week as I return to the weekly format for the sake of this project.

MY OWN MADNESS:  WEEK 1

I was not sure what the fate of The Madness was so I decided to start my own thing, My Own Madness.  It turns out, the Madness starts today but I still wanted to see my own vision through.  I will be incorporating this into the Madness.  They will have different rules than me so some of these will not count in The Madness.  Madness judges, please do not score this one.  The Madness always has a group of wild cards where anything can be counted.  Usually, they look at acting, writing, directing, and producing but I'm doing it all, even the thank you credits.  I had a drawing of all of the names I have used for the Madness in the last ten years and drew out 24 names and maintained the permanent wild card in Bruce Campbell.

ALAN TUDYK

Alan is not a wild card, but he very well could be one in the future.  I have a few worthy selections for him.

Dollhouse:  A Love Supreme S2, E8 (2009, 44 minutes):  This is a sci-fi series where a top secret organization erases the identity of people and imprints them with temporary identities to fulfill assignments.  Alan was a recurring character in this series named Alpha who is back in this episode for some revenge.

Firefly:  Serenity S1, E1 (2002, 86 minutes):  This was a short-lived sci-fi series but gained quite the following.  Alan was part of the regular cast as Wash who was their pilot.  This is about a renegade crew in a small spacecraft traveling to different parts of the galaxy and avoiding warring factions.

Firefly:  The Train Job S1, E2 (2002, 44 minutes):  The crew is coerced to take part in a train robbery, but Mal has second thoughts on a gangster's dirty work.

Firefly:  Bushwhacked S1, E3 (2002, 44 minutes):  Serenity is pulled in by an alliance cruiser while investigating a spaceship that was attacked by Reavers.

Harley Quinn:  'Til Death Do Us Part S1, E1 (2019, 23 minutes):  Harley sets out to separate herself from the Joker with the help of her friend Poison Ivy.  Alan voices the Joker and Calendar Man in this episode.  He mainly voices Clayface but he has not been introduced to the series yet.

Raya and the Last Dragon (2021, 107 minutes):  Alan does the voice for Tuk Tuk in this Disney film.  There are dragons in this film so that alone makes this count.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER

Arnold is not a wild card but has been one in the past so he gets to be featured this week.

Predator (1987, 107 minutes):  Arnold leads the military unit in the South American jungles when going after an extraterrestrial warrior.  The description is above but this is what started the very successful franchise.

The Terminator (1984, 107 minutes):  Arnold plays possibly his most iconic role as the title character who is a ruthless cyborg targeting Sarah Conner for termination and does not care who he has to go through to get to her.  One of my favorite sci-fi films and Brad Fiedel's music score ranks up there for me as well.

__________________________________________

BARBARA STEELE

Barbara is not a wild card but I believe she has been one in the past.  I have a couple older selections for her.

The Ghost (1963, 97 minutes):  Barbara stars in this film and the unhappy wife plotting murder.  This is more psychological horror and qualifies for My Own Madness.

Shivers (1975, 87 minutes):  Barbara co-stars as Betts in this horror film.  Suburban residents are infected by parasites which turn them into nymphomaniac fiends.

__________________________________________

BRAD PITT

Brad is a wild card this year so anything from him counts.  This is his first time as a wild card having made a category for him in the past of his horror work.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007, 160 minutes):  Brad stars in this film as outlaw Jesse James in this film that centers around the relationship of Jesse and James Gang member Bob Ford.  This has always ranked very high as a favorite.

Bullet Train (2022, 127 minutes):  Brad stars as the assassin Ladybug in this adrenaline rush.  Assassins among a train learn they have been set up.  This makes this movie count this year thanks to Brad.

King of the Hill:  Patch Boomhauer S8, E1 (2003, 21 minutes):  Brad voices Boomhauer's brother Patch who is about to marry his old flame.  Boomhauer soon sees that his brother is no different and not ready to settle down.

Selma (2014, 128 minutes):  This film about Martin Luther King trying to get a billed signed for the voting rights of African Americans counts this year thanks to Brad stepping up as a producer.

BRUCE CAMPBELL

Bruce has always been the permanent wild card so I decided to continue that tradition.  He will be featured all six weeks.

Burn Notice:  Friends and Family S3, E1 (2009, 42 minutes):  Bruce was a regular on this series about a burned spy and plays the role of Sam Ace.  Michael is arrested and freed by an old colleague to help with a mission but finds there is more to it.

Burn Notice:  Question and Answer S3, E2 (2009, 42 minutes):  Michael and Sam perform a "reverse interrogation" to find a kidnapped boy.  Michael also finds a new foe in Detective Paxson.

Burn Notice:  End Run S3, E3 (2009, 42 minutes):  Arms trader Brennan returns and kidnaps Michael's brother Nate and forces Michael to perform a mission for him.

Xena:  Warrior Princess:  A Tale of Two Muses S4, E6 (1998, 45 minutes):  Bruce plays the recurring character Autolycus in this series.  In this episode, he joins Xena and Gabrielle in a village where dancing is banned and try to restore the happiness.

A Witch's Tale S5, E1 and 2 (2002, 84 minutes):  In this two-part season opener, a mermaid, played by Jaime Pressly, turns to the Charmed ones for help from an old sea hag in this variation of THE LITTLE MERMAID.  A Power of Three spell turns Phoebe into a mermaid herself and starts to embrace it.

The Eyes Have It S5, E6 (2002, 42 minutes):  Tobin Bell guest stars in this episode as Orin who was blinded by a group of Gypsies and his son Cree is trying to get him another pair.

Sympathy for the Demon S5, E7 (2002, 42 minutes):  Barbas returns and tries to use Cole's powers to get to the Charmed Ones.

A Witch in Time S5, E8 (2002, 42 minutes):  Phoebe continues to save the life of her boyfriend but opens up a portal bringing a warlock from the future.  Cole must warn that Phoebe's boyfriend is meant to die.

Sam I Am S5, E9 (2002, 42 minutes):  Paige is given her first assignment as a white lighter which was her biological father Sam who was brought back as a white lighter.  Tony Todd guest stars in this episode as Avatar of Force.

Y Tu Mummy Tambien S5, E10 (2002, 42 minutes):  Adrian Paul guest stars in this episode as Jeric in this episode who abducts Phoebe to provide a body for the spirit of his dead lover and mummifies her.  Cole tries to save Phoebe by trading Piper for Paige.

ELIZABETH BANKS

Elizabeth is not a wild card this year, but I found a couple selections on my list to make her into a category.

The Lego Movie (2014, 100 minutes):  Elizabeth co-stars in this Lego animated movie the superheroine Wyldstyle who is trying to help stop an evil tyrant from gluing the Lego Universe into eternal stasis.

Power Rangers (2017, 123 minutes):  Elizabeth co-stars as the villain Rita in this updated version of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS which is an origin story.

__________________________________________

ELIZABETH OLSEN

Elizabeth is not a wild card but could be a selection in the future.

Captain America:  Civil War (2016, 147 minutes):  Elizabeth plays Wanda Maximoff in the MCU film where the Avengers are taking on each other.

Godzilla (2014, 123 minutes):  Elizabeth co-stars in this updated film as Ellie Brody whose husband is trying to help address the creature issue going on.  Godzilla is their best hope against those even worse creatures.

__________________________________________

EMMA STONE

Emma is not a wild card, but I have some selections for her to be featured.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012, 136 minutes):  Emma plays Peter Parker's love interest Gwen Stacy in this Spider-Verse.  It was too bad, they never got far enough for her to be Spider-Qwen.

Medium:  Sweet Dreams S2, E5 (2005, 43 minutes):  Emma makes a guest appearance in this episode as Cynthia in this psychic series.

Poor Things (2023, 141 minutes):  Emma stars as Bella Baxter who had committed suicide but manages to be brought back to life by Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Willem Dafoe.  This is a very interesting variation of FRANKENSTEIN and just very bizarre to say the least.

__________________________________________

JAMES WHITMORE

James is not a wild card, but he does have a couple things that qualify for the contest with both years apart quite a bit.

The Adventures of Mark Twain (1985, 86 minutes):  James provides the voice of Mark Twain in this Claymation adventure.  Mark is on an airship in hopes of seeing Halley's comet and is joined by his iconic characters, Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, and Becky Thatcher.  This has some sci-fi elements and counts in My Own Madness.

Them (1954, 94 minutes):  James plays Sgt. Ben Peterson who is trying to get rid of those giant man-eating ants.

__________________________________________

JENNA DAVIS

Jenna is not a wild card this year but is on a career start she could become one someday.

Lisa Frankenstein (2024, 101 minutes):  This is an interesting take to the Mary Shelley classic novel.  Jenna co-stars as Lori in this film who is a friend of Lisa's stepsister Taffy.

M3gan (2022, 102 minutes):  Jenna voices the character of the AI doll M3gan who is supposed to just be a companion but becomes far worse than expected.  A little AI horror counts in any kind of Madness I would say.

__________________________________________

KATIE CASSIDY

Katie is a wild card this year.  This is her first year as a wild card as I have used her before.  She is one of the few that will be used every week.

Arrow:  Vendetta S1, E8 (2012, 42 minutes):  Katie plays Laurel Lance in this series.  At this time, she is the local prosecutor but has not become the Black Canary yet.  In this episode, Oliver tries to train Helena Bertinelli.  I wish they had done more with Helena and turned her into Huntress for a longer period.

Nightmare on Elm Street (2010, 95 minutes):  Katie co-stars as Kris in this remake of the horror franchise.  Jackie Earle Haley did his best as Freddy but no one can replace Robert Englund.

__________________________________________

KATIE MCGRATH

Katie is not a wild card this year but she made her way into being a category for herself.

Dracula:  The Blood is the Life S1, E1 (2013, 42 minutes):  This was a mini-series of the vampire legend where Dracula plans vengeance on those who wronged him centuries earlier.  In this episode, Dracula is posing as a man named Alexander Grayson whose plans become complicated when he encounters Mina who looks like a reincarnation of his former lover.  Katie stars in this series as Lucy Westenra.

Merlin:  The Dragon's Call S1, E1 (2008, 45 minutes):  These are the adventures of young Merlin who is just starting to learn his abilities.  He ends up as a servant to the arrogant Prince Arthur.  Katie co-starred in this series as Morgana.

Supergirl:  Crisis on Infinite Earths:  Part One S5, E9 (2019, 42 minutes):  This was the start of a crossover series for the CW superhero shows.  Katie co-starred in this series as Lena Luthor, the sister of Lex.  Lena is recruited for her scientific expertise to help save the worlds.

__________________________________________

LUCY LIU

Lucy is a wild card this year and this is her first year as a wild card.  She is another one that will be featured all six weeks.

Ally McBeal:  Woman S5, E13 (2002, 43 minutes):  I believe this was where I got my first exposure to Lucy and became very drawn to her.  She plays Ling Woo in this comedy series about a group of attorneys.  In this episode, Ally is now a senior partner and has the unenviable task of firing someone in the firm.

Detachment (2011, 98 minutes):  This movie essentially takes a look at the screwed-up education system in our country.  Lucy co-stars as the school counselor Dr. Doris Parker who shows her own frustration.

The Simpsons:  Goo Goo Gai Pan S16, E12 (2005, 23 minutes):  Lucy guest starred in this episode as Madam Wu, who owned an adoption agency in China.  Selma was looking to adopt a baby and the family goes to China where Selma and Homer must put on a front that they are married.  Things get complicated when Madam Wu figures out they are not married.

__________________________________________

MARIE AVGEROPOULOS

The 100:  Wanheda: Part 1 and 2 S3, E1 and 2 (2016, 90 minutes):  Marie reprises her role of Octavia Blake in this post-apocalyptic series.

Supernatural:  After School Special S4, E13 (2009, 43 minutes):  Marie has a part in the beginning of the episode as Taylor.  Sam and Dean revisit a school they went to where a vengeful ghost appears to be targeting bullies.  We also learn some about Sam and Dean in their youth.

__________________________________________

MITCH PILEGGI

Birds of Prey:  Nature of the Beast S1, E9 (2002, 41 minutes):  Mitch guest stars as mob boss Al Hawke who has undergone a facial change.  This is a short-lived superhero series on CW which takes place in Gotham City and Batman has disappeared.  Batman's daughter Helena, wheelchair bound Barbara Gordon who is Oracle, and a young Dinah Lance look to pick up where Batman left off.

Supernatural:  Exile on Main St. S6, E1 (2010, 42 minutes):  Mitch co-stars as Sam and Dean's maternal grandfather Joseph.  Sam is somehow freed from Hell while Dean is leading a more normal life and must team up for the new threat.

The X-Files:  Tooms S1, E21 (1994, 45 minutes):  Mitch played Frank Skinner who was the assistant director of the FBI.  In this episode, a supernatural killer is paroled and goes after Mulder who helped to incarcerate him.
__________________________________________

PATRICIA BRESLIN

Patricia is not a wild card, but she has some worthy selections to be a category.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents:  Crooked Road:  S4, E4 (1958):  Patricia co-stars as Mrs. Adams who is pulled over along with her husband and finds the town is corrupt.  This anthology series has always counted for the Madness.

Homicidal (1961, 88 minutes):  This is William Castle's answer to PSYCHO.  Patricia co-stars in this film as Miriam Webster who becomes suspicious of her own family members of a murder.  Castle is known for how clever he would promote his movies.
__________________________________________

ROGER CORMAN

Roger is a not a wild card this year, but he was last year and a few other years.

Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader (2012, 83 minutes):  Roger has a cameo Dean Hinkle and has a cool encounter with John Landis.  The story revolves around Cassie who is trying to be a cheerleader and look prettier, but the scientific experiments affect her height.

Little Shop of Horrors (1960, 73 minutes):  Roger directed this B-movie classic that would later become that musical we all love today.
__________________________________________

ROGER DALTRY

This lead singer for the Who is not a wild card and has never been one but has been involved a lot with the supernatural, so I made him a category.

Dark Prince:  The True Story of Dracula (2000, 92 minutes):  Roger portrays King Janos in this version of Dracula which focuses more of Vlad the Impaler.

Highlander:  The Stone of Scone S5, E15 (1997, 49 minutes):  Roger plays the recurring role of immortal Hugh Fitzcairn in this series about immortals.  In a flashback, Hugh tricks Duncan into stealing the crown jewels.  In the modern-day Duncan looks to steal back the Stone of Scone to return it to Scotland with the help of Amanda.  This is more of a comedy episode.

Lois and Clark:  The New Adventures of Superman:  Big Girls Don't Fly S3, E22 (1996, 47 minutes):  Roger makes a guest appearance as Tez who is an assassin out to kill Superman.  In this episode, Clark must make a difficult decision on going back to Krypton.

The Magical Legend of Leprechauns (1999):  Roger co-stars in this mini-series as King Boric who is king of the Fairies.  The leprechauns and the fairies are at war with one another and a forbidden relationship happens.  I found this to be a cross between LORD OF THE RINGS and ROMEO AND JULIET.

Tales from the Crypt:  Forever Ambergris S5, E3 (1993, 25 minutes):  Roger guest stars in the comedy horror anthology series as has-been photographer Dalton who plots the murder of a protege named Ike, played by Steve Buscemi, when they go to Central America.  This does have quite the cast with Daltry, Buscemi, Paul Dooley, and Titus Welliver.

__________________________________________

SILENT MADNESS

The Phantom of the Opera (1925, 93 minutes):  This silent classic always belongs on a horror segment.  Lon Chaney was an icon as the Phantom before that great Andrew Lloyd Weber musical was made.

__________________________________________

TOMMY LEE JONES

Tommy is a wild card this year so anything with him will count.  This is his first year as a wild card so this came from when I created a category for him.

Batman Forever (1995, 123 minutes):  Tommy co-stars as Two-Face who teams with the Riddler in hopes of killing Batman.

The Burial (2023, 126 minutes):  Tommy stars in this biopic of a funeral home owner taking a big business to trial so it counts for this Madness.

Natural Born Killers (1994, 122 minutes):  Tommy co-stars in this media satire as the prison warden Dwight McClusky which almost resembled his performance as Two-Face the other category feature BATMAN FOREVER.

Under Siege (1992, 103 minutes):  Tommy plays the main villain who leads a terrorist attack, along with Gary Busey and Colm Meaney, to hijack the U.S. Missouri but has to deal with a Navy Seal turned cook and a former Playboy bunny.  I still believe this is Steven Seagal's best and loved seeing BAYWATCH babe Erika Eleniak along with the evolution of her character.

__________________________________________

TONI COLLETTE

Toni is not a wild card this year, but she would be a candidate for Women of Horror if it comes to be.

Fright Night (2011, 106 minutes):  Toni co-stars as Jane whose son Charley discovers that their new neighbor Colin Farrell is a vampire.

Hereditary (2018, 127 minutes):  Toni stars as Ellen who is the matriarch of a family whose house is being haunted.

Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken (2023, 91 minutes):  Toni co-stars as Ruby's mother Agatha who has held the secrets of the Kraken for a long time.
__________________________________________

VERONICA CARTWRIGHT

Veronica is not a wild card this year but I found a couple of selections to make her into a category.

Flight of the Navigator (1986, 90 minutes):  Veronica co-stars as Helen who is the mother of the antagonist David.  David manages to get into a spaceship and ends up in the future.  This '80s sci-fi classic fits into My Own Madness and Paul Reubens gets to voice the AI spaceship.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014, 86 minutes):  Veronica co-stars as the damsel in distress's grandmother Lillian who is trying to get her granddaughter out of there.  This is a remake to the 1976 slasher of the same name.

__________________________________________

VIRGINIA GARDNER

Runaways:  Hostile S1, E10 (2018, 49 minutes):  Viriginia stars as Karolina in this Marvel Cinematic Universe series.  A group of teens discover they have superpowers of some sort and parents that have not been honest.

Tell Me how I Die (2016, 107 minutes):  Veronica stars in this horror movie as the college student Anna who is looking for some cash and finds a clinical drug trial.  This unfortunately has a lot of side effects.

__________________________________________

WORLD OF SUPERHEROES AND SUPERVILLAINS

Silver Hawk (2004):  Michelle plays the title character in this martial arts superhero film.  She is a rich socialite by day and a superhero by night.  This was a pretty fun movie and worth a look for fans of the Hong Kong cinema.

Young Justice:  Drop-Zone S1, E4 (2011, 22 minutes):  Batman sends the team on its first official mission to observe and report on a venom factory where they must take care of the mission themselves.
