Welcome to the 964th edition of my series.  The government shutdown does not affect my movie blog despite the concerns some might have had.  I'm still busy with my murder mystery comedy MUCH ADO ABOUT MURDER at the Imagine Performing Arts in Connersville, IN so make some plans to get some laughs and help solve a murder.  Information for the show is at the bottom.  I will shut up and get on with my selections for the week.

The Monkey (2025):  Osgood Perkins directed this horror comedy which is based on a short story SKELETON CREW by Stephen King.  Young twin brothers Bill and Hal, both played by Christian Convery, find their father's toy monkey which leads to a lot of deaths.  They throw it away and grow apart over the years.  In their adult years, the toy monkey appears to be back.  Theo James plays the twins in their adult years as they must relive their childhood.  Tatiana Maslany, Colin O'Brien, Elijah Wood, Rohan Campbell, Sarah Levy, Osgood Perkins, Tess Degenstein, Danica Dreyer, Kingston Chan, Zia Newton, Nicco Del Rio, Shafir Karim, Luman Beltran, Laura Mennell, Janet Kidder, Katie Stuart, Adam Scott, and many others co-star in this horror comedy.  This movie does have some very clever looking deaths, and they all seemed quite different.  The toy monkey is almost as creepy as the deaths that happen.

Doctor Strange (2016):  Scott Derrickson directed this Marvel Cinematic Universe origin story.  Benedict Cumberbatch stars as neurosurgeon Dr. Stephen Strange who is a very successful and rather egotistical.  Things change in his life when he is in a bad car accident which affects his hands.  He is drawn to a world of mystic arts where he is taught a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts.  Tilda Swinton co-stars as Stranges mentor the Ancient One and Mads Mikkelsen co-stars as Kaecilius who has been corrupted by the mystic arts.  Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Benjamin Bratt, Scott Adkins, and many others co-star in this film.  This introduces us to the mystical side of the MCU.  I saw an animated movie of the title character and this version and both times think of Dr. House before Strange becomes the superhero.  This is a fun origin story with Cumberbatch perfect for the title character.

The Call (2013):  Brad Anderson directed this thriller that centers around a 911 call center.  Halle Berry stars as veteran 911 operator Jordan Turner who must deal with a kidnapped girl named Casey, played by Abigail Breslin, and realizes the kidnapper is the same from another call she had that failed.  She takes initiative in trying to find the culprit herself and save Casey.  Evie Thompson, Morris Chestnut, Michael Eklund, Justina Machado, Jose Zuniga, Roma Maffia, Denise Dowse, Ella Rae Peck, Jenna Lamia, Ross Gallo, Ella Rae Peck, Jenna Lamia, Ross Gallo, and many others co-star in this thriller.  Having worked in a call center, I could relate to this movie a little bit.  This does seem to be a good look into a 911 center and a well-written story of an operator.  I did desire a different ending but still a good performance out of Berry and was worth a look.

The Fear (1964):  This is my short film for the week which is technically and episode from the classic anthology series THE TWILIGHT ZONE.  Ted Post directed this episode which was written by Rod Serling.  Hazel Court stars as Charlotte Scott who is staying in a remote cabin.  Peter Mark Richman stars as trooper Robert Franklin.  They witness what appears to be a giant and must overcome their fears when dealing with it.  This is available to watch on Paramount Plus.

King Kong (1933):  Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack directed this classic creature feature.  Robert Armstrong stars as Carl Denham who is a movie producer and willing to do anything to have a big feature film.  He leads a team to an island called Skull Island where they encounter a big ape of the title name and find that Kong really likes the actress Ann Darrow, played by Fay Wray, that Denham recruited seeing she was desperate for work.  Denham sets out to capture Kong and take him back to the United Stages as an attraction, but things don't go so well in the States.  Bruce Cabot, Frank Reicher, Sam Hardy, and many others co-star in this film.  This is a very iconic creature film which probably did a lot for the genre, and this make Fay Wray into an icon.  I will be the first to admit, I favor the 2005 remake, but this still deserves the credit that is due.

Glen or Glenda (1953):  Edward D. Wood Jr. wrote and directed this film which is shot some parts like a documentary and a very early look into the LGBQ world.  Daniel Davis, well Wood under another name, stars as a transvestite named Glen who secretly dresses up as a woman but has trouble telling his fiancé Barbara, played by Delores Fuller.  The other person we get a look at is Pseudohermaphrodite named Alan who is about to undergo an operation to become a woman named Anne.  Bela Lugosi co-stars as a scientist and gives some really weird narration that I don't think most people really got.  He did warn us of the big, green dragon that sits on our doorstep.  Lyle Talbot, Conrad Brooks, and many others co-star in this film.  This was an interesting vision for the Worst Director of All Time despite being a failure, but it lives on, and they did tackle some very taboo issues at the time.  This is available to watch on Prime, TUBI, Pluto TV, and Fawesome so check this out before the green dragon gets you.

Hunter Hunter (2020):  Shawn Linden wrote and directed this suspense horror film.  Devon Sawa stars as Mersault who lives in the remote wilderness with his wife Anne, played by Camille Sullivan, and daughter Renee, played by Summer H. Howell, as fur trappers.  They believe they are being hunted by a rogue wolf and Joseph goes to track it leaving his wife and daughter to fend for themselves.  Nick Stahl, Gabriel Daniels, Lauren Cochrane, Jade Michael, and Erik Athavale co-star in this movie.  This does have a few twists and turns and is hard to really describe further without giving things away.  This is not for the weak of heart but a good selection for the month for those that like the more disturbing.

Night of the Living Dead (1968):  George A. Romero directed and co-wrote this classic zombie film.  A group of people hide out in a home in hopes of keeping safe from a mysterious group that is committing mass murder.  They find later that they are the walking dead and must band together in hopes of staying safe.  Duane Jones, Judith O'Dea, Karl Hardman, Marilyn Eastman, Judith Riley, Kyra Schon, and many others co-star in this low-budget classic.  This is another very iconic film to its genre of zombies and has been the basis for the years to come including the popular graphic novel and tv series THE WALKING DEAD.  This was a low-budget film that made a lot of money and stays relevant today.  I don't think I need to say much more.

Carnival of Sinners (1943):  Maurice Tourneur directed this French horror film based on the novel by Gerard de Nerval.  Pierre Fresnay stars as Roland Brisset who is a struggling painter.  Nothing else is going well in his life including his relationship with Irene, played by Josseline Gael, and learns of a talisman to give him everything he wants.  Nothing is free and after a year, he must pay his dues or pay the price.  Noel Roquevert, Palau, Pierre Larquey, Antoine Balpetre, and many others co-star in this French film.  This is a very well-done film of foreign horror and a really good message.  The climax of the film is the most interesting part in my opinion.  This is a very underrated film that deserves more attention.

All Hallows' Eve (2013):  Damien Leone wrote and directed this horror film.  Katie Maguire stars as Sarah who babysitting two kids and one gets a VHS tape while trick or treating.  She reluctantly allows the children to watch the video that consists of three different tales, linked by a murderous clown.  She soon learns that things are becoming more of a reality.  Catherine Callahan, Michael Chmiel, Brandon deSpain, Christine Evangelista, and many others co-star in this horror movie.  This is the introduction to Art the Clown of the popular TERRIFIER franchise.  This is great for the season and a good time to meet Art the Clown.

Well, that is it for this section but continue on for the second week of My Own Madness and the first week of The Madness.

MY OWN MADNESS:  WEEK 2

This is the second week of My Own Madness which will differ some than from the Madness.  I have my own wild cards to choose from in which I put in a drawing for the last ten years of the Madness for those who have had categories for themselves.  I then drew 24 people out of the bucket along with the permanent wild card Bruce Campbell.  Judges, I don't need scored on this one so go down more and the Madness will be there.

BELA LUGOSI

Bela is not a wild card this year but has been one a few times in the past.

Dracula (1931, 75 minutes):  Bela plays his most iconic role in this vampire film so this obviously counts.

Glen or Glenda (1935, 65 minutes):  This docudrama is billed as horror and I guess this is a little ahead of its time for LGBQ.  Bela is the scientist and is essentially the narrator and warns us many times about the big, green dragon.

__________________________________________

BORIS KARLOFF

This horror legend is a wild card this year and will likely be used for the remainder of My Own Madness.

Bride of Frankenstein (1935, 75 minutes):  Boris reprises his iconic role as the Creature of Frankenstein which picks up right where its predecessor FRANKENSTEIN left off.  This is probably my favorite of the Universal Horror classics.

__________________________________________

BRAD PITT

Brad is a wild card this year so everything where he has involvement will count.

Being John Malkovich (1999, 113 minutes):  Brad has a cameo in this unusual film where a portal is found to John Malkovich's head.  This counts for My Own Madness and will try to argue for the Madness.

Friends:  The One with the Rumer S8, E9 (2001, 22 minutes):  Brad guest stars in this episode as Ross and Monica's old high school friend who seems very bitter towards Rachel.

IF (2024, 104 minutes):  Brad has a cameo in this movie as "Keith" who was invisible.  That is how he is credited.

She Said (2022, 129 minutes):  Brad was an executive producer for this film so it counts in My Own Madness, just not the Madness.  Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan star as journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Cantor who team up in an effort to expose Hollywood bigshot Harvey Weinstein.

Y Tu Mummy Tambien S5, E10 (2002, 42 minutes):  Adrian Paul guest stars in this episode as Jeric in this episode who abducts Phoebe to provide a body for the spirit of his dead lover and mummifies her.  Cole tries to save Phoebe by trading Piper for Paige.
__________________________________________

DEVON SAWA

Devon is not a wild card but he very well could be one someday.

Chucky (2021, 47 minutes):  Devon co-stars in this series as twin brothers Luke and Logan Wheeler.  14-year-old artist Jake Wheeler buys a Good Guy doll at a rummage sale only to learn that the doll is the deadly Chucky.  Brad Dourif provides the voice or Chucky.

Final Destination (2000, 98 minutes):  Devon stars as Alex in this horror movie where he saves a few classmates after getting a premonition about the plane they were to be on crashes.  He finds that now they are fighting the fates in a literal way.  This has some pretty good death scenes.

Hunter Hunter (2020, 93 minutes):  Devon stars in this film as Joseph and this does feature a wolf so this counts.

Idle Hands (1999, 92 minutes):  Devon stars as teenage slacker Anton Tobias whose hands seem to have a mind of their own.
__________________________________________

ELIZABETH TULLOCH

Elizabeth is not a wild card this year but found a few shows to get her a category.

Batwoman:  Crisis on Infinite Earths:  Part Two S1, E9 (2019, 44 minutes):  Elizabeth plays Lois Lane in this CW DC crossover series.  We get to see Kevin Conroy as a live-action Bruce Wayne and Tom Welling reprising his role as Clark Kent from SMALLVILLE.

Grimm:  Pilot S1, E1 (2011, 45 minutes):  Detective Nick Burkhardt is a detective who learns that he is a descendent of the Grimm family and that fairy tales are real.  Elizabeth plays Nick's girlfriend Juliette in this series.

Moonlight:  The Mortal Cure S1, E12 (2008, 44 minutes):  Elizabeth makes a guest appearance in this vampire series as Celeste.  This was a short-lived series but gained quite the cult following.

Superman and Lois:  It Went by So Fast S4, E10 (2024, 42 minutes):  This is the series finale of the show where Elizabeth stars as Lois.  The Kents and their friends go to battle one last time with Lex Luthor.  I believe this has one of the best endings for a tv series.

__________________________________________

FAY WRAY

Fay is not a wild card this year but has been one in the past and would be a candidate for a Women in Horror category.

King Kong (1933, 100 minutes):  Fay is the iconic Ann Darrow in this creature feature.  This is probably very significant to the horror genre.

The Most Dangerous Game (1932, 63 minutes):  Fay co-stars as Eve who is one of the people stranded on an island of a big game hunter.  The hunter is hunting the people.  I suppose this is the original HUNGER GAMES.
__________________________________________

FOREIGN MADNESS

Carnival of Sinners (1943, 80 minutes):  This is some horror from a talisman and shows us how nothing is free.
__________________________________________

HALLE BERRY

Halle is not a wild card this year but was able to become a category for me.

The Call (2013, 94 minutes):  Halle plays a very dedicated 911 operator in this psychological horror film.

Gothika (2003, 98 minutes):  Halle stars in this movie as psychiatrist turned mental patient who is being accused of murder.  She is also haunted by a vengeful spirit.

__________________________________________

HAZEL COURT

Hazel is not a wild card but she has been one in the past on account of her work for Hammer Films.

The Curse of Frankenstein (1957, 82 minutes):  Hazel co-stars as Dr. Victor Frankenstein's fiancé Elizabeth.  This has always been my favorite version of the Mary Shelley story.

The Twilight Zone:  The Fear S5, E35 (1964, 24 minutes):  This anthology series always counts.  Hazel stars as Charlotte who along with a trooper believe they see a giant.  This is about fearing the unknown I believe.

__________________________________________

ILANA GLAZER

Ilana is not a wild card but I found a couple a couple selections to make her into a category.

False Positive (2021, 92 minutes):  Ilana stars as Lucy who is determined to get pregnant and when she finally does, she finds there are more sinister things at hand.  This is regarded as psychological horror.

Time Traveling Bong (2016, 66 minutes):  Ilana stars in this time travel comedy as Sharee who along with her cousin find a bong that makes them time travel.
__________________________________________

JENNA ORTEGA

Jenna is not a wild card but she could be one in the future with a lot of her work.

Scream (2022, 114 minutes):  Jenna stars in this 5th entry as the killer's main target in Tara Carpenter.

X (2022, 105 minutes):  A film group, I can't say the type or I might get red flagged again, films a movie at a remote place and gets terrorized by a crazed elderly couple.  Jenna co-stars as the gaffer but wants to do more.

Jessica is not a wild card this year but she has some CW work that will get herself a category.

__________________________________________

JOHN C. REILLY

John is not a wild card but has been in enough to have a category for himself.

Kong:  Skull Island Max (2017, 118 minutes):  John co-stars in this creature feature as Hank Marlow who has been stuck on Skull Island for many years.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018, 112 minutes):  John reprises his role in this Disney sequel where the video game crew learn about the internet and the possible negative effects.
__________________________________________

JUDITH O'DEA

Judith is not a wild card but I was able to make her into a category for the week.

Night of the Living Dead (1968, 96 minutes):  Judith co-stars in this zombie movie as Barbra.  This likely started the zombie genre we know today.

They Came from the Ether (2014, 90 minutes):  Judith has more of a cameo in the B-movie about an Alien trying to take over the world.  I couldn't find a photo of her from the movie so I'll just put in this poster.

7th Heaven:  The Fine Art of Parenting S9, E13 (2005, 45 minutes):  Katie played the recurring role of Zoe in this righteous CW/WB series.  CW Superman Tyler Hoechlin was also in this series.  This episode counts thanks to my wild card Katie.

__________________________________________

KATIE MAGUIRE

Katie is not a wild card but she fell into the radar for My Own Madness.

All Hallows' Eve (2013, 83 minutes):  Katie stars as the babysitter Sarah who lets the kids watch a VHS and was not a very good idea.  This is the movie that introduces us to Art the Clown who has become pretty popular through the TERRIFIER movies.

Red Canyon (2008, 98 minutes):  Katie co-stars in this horror movie as Terra.  When a group of people return home, a killing rage happens.  I'm not sure how to explain this movie but it is horror, nonetheless.
__________________________________________

LEAH GIBSON

Batwoman:  Prior Criminal History S2, E2 (2021, 42 minutes):  Leah has a stint on this CW series as the assassin Tatiana.  Ruby Rose left the show as Kate Kane so now CW's own creation Ryan Wilder is taking the helm as Batwoman.

LUCY LIU

Lucy is a wild card in My Own Madness this year and is her first year as a wild card.  I usually tend to make a category for her on account of being a celebrity crush.

Charlie's Angels:  Full Throttle (2003, 106 minutes):  Lucy stars as angel Alex Munday in this updated version of the popular tv series. This may not count in the Madness but it sure counts for My own Madness.  This has always been a very guilty pleasure of mine.

Elementary:  Paint it Black S2, E22 (2014, 43 minutes):  This is a variation of Sherlock Holmes where Lucy stars as Dr. Joan Watson.  In this episode, Joan is kidnapped and Sherlock must work with his brother Mycroft to save her.

King of the Hill:  Bad Girls, Bad Girls, Watcha Gonna Do S7, E3 (2002, 23 minutes):  Lucy guest stars in this episode as Connie's delinquent cousin Tid Pao who becomes a bad influence on Bobby and takes advantage of his naive nature.

__________________________________________

MARY HARRON

Mary is a wild card this year and has been one in the past.  I believe this will be her only week.

American Psycho (2000, 102 minutes):  Mary directed this slasher film which is really what seems to have made Christian Bale a star.  Also, a little workplace satire and some interesting music analysis from Bale.

Big Love:  Roberta's Funeral S1, E6 (2006, 50 minutes):  Mary directed this episode of the HBO polygamist series.  Bill looks to make a settlment with his father-in-law Roman.

Oz:  Animal Farm S2, E7 (1998, 56 minutes):  Mary directed this episode of the prison series which makes it at least count for My Own Madness.  Ryan's brother Cyril ends up under Schillinger's control and Ryan tries to get him transfer to Em City.

Strawberry Mansion (2021, 91 minutes):  Mary was thanked in the credits so this movie counts.  It would possibly count either way.  This is a really underrated independent fantasy film that is very surreal but quite moving.  This takes place in a world where dreams must be reported to the government and can be taxed.
__________________________________________

NICOLE KIDMAN

Nicole is not a wild card this year but many selections on my list fit so I made her into a category for the week.

The Golden Compass (2007, 113 minutes):  Nicole co-stars in this dark fantasy as Mrs. Coulter who is the villain of this story based on the HIS DARK MATERIALS book series which apparently had a lot of anti-religion references left out in this movie.

Moulin Rouge (2001, 127 minutes):  Nicole stars as courtesan and nightclub singer Satine who has a forbidden affair with a pennyless writer.  This musical works on a fantasy level for My Own Madness.  This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

The Others (2001, 104 minutes):  This takes place near the end of WWII where Nicole plays Grace who lives in a darkened old family estate with her children and believes the place is haunted.

Paddington (2014, 95 minutes):  Nicole co-stars as Millicent who is a taxidermist looking to stuff Paddington.

PETER JACKSON

Peter is a wild card this year and has been one in the past.  I can use anything he is associated with in his career.

King Kong (2005, 188 minutes):  Peter directed this creature feature and remake to the 1933 film of the same name.  This is my favorite version of Kong mostly due to the interaction between Kong and Ann Darrow.

The Lovely Bones (2009, 135 minutes):  Peter directed this ghostly movie where a young girl is murdered and looks over her family and killer from purgatory.
__________________________________________

QUENTIN TARANTINO

Quentin is a wild card this year and has been one in the past.

CSI:  Crime Scene Investigation:  Grave Danger Parts 1 and 2 S5, E24 and 25 (2005, 85 minutes):  Quentin directed this two-part finale of the series.  Nick is abducted and buried alive with the CSI teams rushing to find him.  I bet this was the most emotional episode of the series.

Double Dare (2004, 81 minutes):  Quentin is interviewed for this documentary which takes a look at stuntwomen Jeannie Epper and Zoe Bell.  Bell has worked a lot for Quentin as a stunt double and actress.

Reservoir Dogs (1992, 99 minutes):  Quentin makes his directorial debut in this heist film where a heist goes wrong and they must piece together which one of them is an undercover cop.  He is also in the movie in the beginning explaining her very interesting viewpoints bout what Madonna's LIKE A VIRGIN is about.
__________________________________________

RACHEL MCADAMS

Rachel is not a wild card this year but how could I say no when she asked to become a category on here?

Doctor Strange (2016, 115 minutes):  Rachel co-stars as Doctor Strange's love interest and helps him through the discovery of his powers.  This essentially introduces us to the mystical side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Red Eye (2005, 85 minutes):  Rachel stars as hotel manager Lisa who is supposed to be on vacation but finds herself in the middle of an assassination.
__________________________________________

SAM ROCKWELL

Gentlemen Broncos (2009, 90 minutes):  This quirky comedy has some sci-fi and fantasy elements for this to work on My Own Madness.  Sam co-stars as Bronco who is part of the sci-fi scenes of the story.  This is about a young author whose sci-fi story is ripped off by a struggling prolific author.

Iron Man 2 (2010, 124 minutes):  Sam co-stars in this MCU entry as corrupt politician Justin Hammer who tries to help Whiplash destroy Iron Man.

Trolls World Tour (2020, 91 minutes):  Sam voices the role of Hickory in this animated movie where Poppy tries to unite the troll groups who are separated by genre.

__________________________________________

STEPHEN KING

Stephen is not a wild card this year but has been one in the past.  He is a very significant part to the world of horror.

The Monkey (2025, 98 minutes):  This is based on a short story by Stephen.  I don't think people have ever looked at monkey toys in the same way since this movie came out.

The Outsider:  Fish in a Barrel S1, E1 (2020, 61 minutes):  This is also based on a novel by Stephen King.  This is centered around a gruesome murder of an 11-year-old-boy.  The investigation seems obvious but lots of twists and turns.

The Outsider:  Roanoke S1, E2 (2020, 60 minutes):  Ralph has a hard time dealing with the conflicting evidence in the murder.

WRESTLING MADNESS

NWA Powerrr:  Twice Bitten S24, E10 (2025, 53 minutes):  This features manager Father James Mitchell who is a very dark presence and his protege Alex Misery who is also very dark.
__________________________________________

THE MADNESS:  GOES BACK 2 SCHOOL:  WEEK 1

This is the actual contest that I have been with from the beginning and have never won.  Their wild cards are those who have passed this year and fit into the theme.  This will be similar to My Own Madess but will have differences.  They also want ratings so I always use the Four 6 system.

ADAM BALDWIN

Adam is not a wild card this year but fell into himself a category.

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER

Arnold is not a wild card but has been one in the past so he gets to be featured this week.

Predator (1987, 107 minutes, 666):  Arnold leads the military unit in the South American jungles when going after an extraterrestrial warrior.  The description is above but this is what started the very successful franchise.

Terminator (1984, 107 minutes, 666 1/2):  Arnold plays possibly his most iconic role as the title character who is a ruthless cyborg targeting Sarah Conner for termination and does not care who he has to go through to get to her.  One of my favorite sci-fi films and Brad Fiedel's music score ranks up there for me as well.

__________________________________________

BARBARA STEELE

Barbara is not a wild card but I believe she has been one in the past.  I have a couple older selections for her.

The Ghost (1963, 97 minutes, 66 1/2):  Barbara stars in this film and the unhappy wife plotting murder.  This is more psychological horror and qualifies for My Own Madness.

Shivers (1975, 87 minutes, 66 1/2):  Barbara co-stars as Betts in this horror film.  Suburban residents are infected by parasites which turn them into nymphomaniac fiends.

Dracula (1931, 75 minutes, 666):  Bela plays his most iconic role in this vampire film so this obviously counts.

Glen or Glenda (1935, 65 minutes, 66):  This docudrama is billed as horror and I guess this is a little ahead of its time for LGBQ.  Bela is the scientist and is essentially the narrator and warns us many times about the big, green dragon.

CREATURE FEATURES

Bride of Frankenstein (1935, 75 minutes 666 1/2):  Boris reprises his iconic role as the Creature of Frankenstein which picks up right where its predecessor FRANKENSTEIN left off.  This is probably my favorite of the Universal Horror classics.

Hunter Hunter (2020, 93 minutes, 66 1/2):  This features a wolf and is regarded as folk horror.

IF (2024, 104 minutes, 666):  I feel the IFs should qualify this movie for the contest.

Strawberry Mansion (2021, 91 minutes, 666):  This does feature a character called the Blue Demon in this fantasy.

Them (1954, 94 minutes, 66 1/2):  I think a few man-eating giant ants will qualify this one.

__________________________________________

DARK FANTASY

Being John Malkovich (1999, 113 minutes, 666 1/2):  I might be pushing this one but I will give it a shot.  This has very dark undertones including John Cusack's character going off the deep end.  Also, the way they gained control of John Malkovich, practically making him their puppet.

The Golden Compass (2007, 113 minutes, 66 1/2):  I think this has enough dark elements to qualify this fantasy for the Madness.
-This takes place a lot at Jordan College

ELIZABETH BANKS

Elizabeth is not a wild card this year, but I found a couple selections on my list to make her into a category.

The Lego Movie (2014, 100 minutes, 666):  Elizabeth co-stars in this Lego animated movie the superheroine Wyldstyle who is trying to help stop an evil tyrant from gluing the Lego Universe into eternal stasis.  I think with Batman and other creatures, that this should qualify for this madness.

Power Rangers (2017, 123 minutes, 66 1/2):  Elizabeth co-stars as the villain Rita in this updated version of MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS which is an origin story.  I think this is a dark enough fantasy to qualify.
-High school setting
-Adults playing teens?

Elizabeth is not a wild card this year but found a few shows to get her a category.

Batwoman:  Crisis on Infinite Earths:  Part Two S1, E9 (2019, 44 minutes, 666):  Elizabeth plays Lois Lane in this CW DC crossover series.  We get to see Kevin Conroy as a live-action Bruce Wayne and Tom Welling reprising his role as Clark Kent from SMALLVILLE.

Grimm:  Pilot S1, E1 (2011, 45 minutes, 666):  Detective Nick Burkhardt is a detective who learns that he is a descendent of the Grimm family and that fairy tales are real.  Elizabeth plays Nick's girlfriend Juliette in this series.

Superman and Lois:  It Went by So Fast S4, E10 (2024, 42 minutes, 666 1/2):  This is the series finale of the show where Elizabeth stars as Lois.  The Kents and their friends go to battle one last time with Lex Luthor.  I believe this has one of the best endings for a tv series.
__________________________________________

EMMA STONE

Emma is not a wild card, but I have some selections for her to be featured.

The Amazing Spider-Man (2012, 136 minutes, 666):  Emma plays Peter Parker's love interest Gwen Stacy in this Spider-Verse.  It was too bad, they never got far enough for her to be Spider-Qwen.

Poor Things (2023, 141 minutes, 666):  Emma stars as Bella Baxter who had committed suicide but manages to be brought back to life by Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Willem Dafoe.  This is a very interesting variation of FRANKENSTEIN and just very bizarre to say the least.

__________________________________________

FAY WRAY

Fay is not a wild card this year but has been one in the past and would be a candidate for a Women in Horror category.

King Kong (1933, 100 minutes, 666):  Fay is the iconic Ann Darrow in this creature feature.  This is probably very significant to the horror genre.

The Most Dangerous Game (1932, 63 minutes, 66 1/2):  Fay co-stars as Eve who is one of the people stranded on an island of a big game hunter.  The hunter is hunting the people.  I suppose this is the original HUNGER GAMES.

FOREIGN MADNESS

Carnival of Sinners (1943, 80 minutes, 666):  This is some horror from a talisman and shows us how nothing is free.
__________________________________________

The Curse of Frankenstein (1957, 82 minutes, 666 1/2):  Hazel co-stars as Dr. Victor Frankenstein's fiancé Elizabeth.  This has always been my favorite version of the Mary Shelley story.

The Twilight Zone:  The Fear S5, E35 (1964, 24 minutes, 66 1/2):  This anthology series always counts.  Hazel stars as Charlotte who along with a trooper believe they see a giant.  This is about fearing the unknown I believe.
__________________________________________

ILANA GLAZER

Ilana is not a wild card but I found a couple a couple selections to make her into a category.

False Positive (2021, 92 minutes, 66 1/2):  Ilana stars as Lucy who is determined to get pregnant and when she finally does, she finds there are more sinister things at hand.  This is regarded as psychological horror.

Time Traveling Bong (2016, 66 minutes, 66 1/2):  Ilana stars in this time travel comedy as Sharee who along with her cousin find a bong that makes them time travel.  I know I need to justify this one.  There was one part that centered around the Salem Witchcraft Trials.  Also, in the last part they end up in a post-apocalyptic world.

JENNA DAVIS

Jenna is not a wild card this year but is on a career start she could become one someday.

Lisa Frankenstein (2024, 101 minutes, 666):  This is an interesting take to the Mary Shelley classic novel.  Jenna co-stars as Lori in this film who is a friend of Lisa's stepsister Taffy.
-This takes place in a school
-Main character played by adult performer
-Main character is bullied

M3gan (2022, 102 minutes, 666):  Jenna voices the character of the AI doll M3gan who is supposed to just be a companion but becomes far worse than expected.  A little AI horror counts in any kind of Madness I would say.
-There are some school scenes

X (2022, 105 minutes, 66 1/2):  A film group, I can't say the type or I might get red flagged again, films a movie at a remote place and gets terrorized by a crazed elderly couple.  Jenna co-stars as the gaffer but wants to do more.
__________________________________________

JOHN C. REILLY

John is not a wild card but has been in enough to have a category for himself.

Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018, 112 minutes, 66 1/2):  John reprises his role in this Disney sequel where the video game crew learn about the internet and the possible negative effects.  I think there are plenty of creatures and dark moments to count this one.

JUDITH O'DEA

Judith is not a wild card but I was able to make her into a category for the week.

Night of the Living Dead (1968, 96 minutes, 666):  Judith co-stars in this zombie movie as Barbra.  This likely started the zombie genre we know today.

They Came from the Ether (2014, 90 minutes, 66):  Judith has more of a cameo in the B-movie about an Alien trying to take over the world.  I couldn't find a photo of her from the movie so I'll just put in this poster.

Katie is not a wild card but she fell into the radar for My Own Madness.

All Hallows' Eve (2013, 83 minutes, 66 1/2):  Katie stars as the babysitter Sarah who lets the kids watch a VHS and was not a very good idea.  This is the movie that introduces us to Art the Clown who has become pretty popular through the TERRIFIER movies.

Red Canyon (2008, 98 minutes, 66):  Katie co-stars in this horror movie as Terra.  When a group of people return home, a killing rage happens.  I'm not sure how to explain this movie but it is horror, nonetheless.
__________________________________________

KATIE MCGRATH

Katie is not a wild card this year but she made her way into being a category for herself.

Dracula:  The Blood is the Life S1, E1 (2013, 42 minutes, 666):  This was a mini-series of the vampire legend where Dracula plans vengeance on those who wronged him centuries earlier.  In this episode, Dracula is posing as a man named Alexander Grayson whose plans become complicated when he encounters Mina who looks like a reincarnation of his former lover.  Katie stars in this series as Lucy Westenra.

MITCH PILEGGI

Birds of Prey:  Nature of the Beast S1, E9 (2002, 41 minutes, 66 1/2):  Mitch guest stars as mob boss Al Hawke who has undergone a facial change.  This is a short-lived superhero series on CW which takes place in Gotham City and Batman has disappeared.  Batman's daughter Helena, wheelchair bound Barbara Gordon who is Oracle, and a young Dinah Lance look to pick up where Batman left off.

Supernatural:  Exile on Main St. S6, E1 (2010, 42 minutes, 666):  Mitch co-stars as Sam and Dean's maternal grandfather Joseph.  Sam is somehow freed from Hell while Dean is leading a more normal life and must team up for the new threat.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents:  Crooked Road:  S4, E4 (1958, 25 minutes, 666):  Patricia co-stars as Mrs. Adams who is pulled over along with her husband and finds the town is corrupt.  This anthology series has always counted for the Madness.

Homicidal (1961, 88 minutes, 666):  This is William Castle's answer to PSYCHO.  Patricia co-stars in this film as Miriam Webster who becomes suspicious of her own family members of a murder.  Castle is known for how clever he would promote his movies.

PETER JACKSON

Peter is a wild card this year and has been one in the past.  I can use anything he is associated with in his career.

King Kong (2005, 188 minutes, 666 1/2):  Peter directed this creature feature and remake to the 1933 film of the same name.  This is my favorite version of Kong mostly due to the interaction between Kong and Ann Darrow.

The Lovely Bones (2009, 135 minutes, 66 1/2):  Peter directed this ghostly movie where a young girl is murdered and looks over her family and killer from purgatory.
-School scenes

RACHEL MCADAMS

Rachel is not a wild card this year but how could I say no when she asked to become a category on here?

Doctor Strange (2016, 115 minutes, 666):  Rachel co-stars as Doctor Strange's love interest and helps him through the discovery of his powers.  This essentially introduces us to the mystical side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Red Eye (2005, 85 minutes, 666):  Rachel stars as hotel manager Lisa who is supposed to be on vacation but finds herself in the middle of an assassination.  Wes Craven directed this Hitchcockian psychological thriller.  I feel this should count on the nature of the Cillian Murphy character and the way he would control Lisa by his threats to do what was needed and her own fight to stay alive.

__________________________________________

ROGER CORMAN

Roger is a not a wild card this year, but he was last year and a few other years.

Attack of the 50 Foot Cheerleader (2012, 83 minutes, 66 1/2):  Roger has a cameo Dean Hinkle and has a cool encounter with John Landis.  The story revolves around Cassie who is trying to be a cheerleader and look prettier, but the scientific experiments affect her height.

ROGER DALTRY

This lead singer for the Who is not a wild card and has never been one but has been involved a lot with the supernatural, so I made him a category.

Dark Prince:  The True Story of Dracula (2000, 92 minutes, 66 1/2):  Roger portrays King Janos in this version of Dracula which focuses more of Vlad the Impaler.

Highlander:  The Stone of Scone S5, E15 (1997, 49 minutes, 66 1/2):  Roger plays the recurring role of immortal Hugh Fitzcairn in this series about immortals.  In a flashback, Hugh tricks Duncan into stealing the crown jewels.  In the modern-day Duncan looks to steal back the Stone of Scone to return it to Scotland with the help of Amanda.  This is more of a comedy episode.

Lois and Clark:  The New Adventures of Superman:  Big Girls Don't Fly S3, E22 (1996, 47 minutes, 666):  Roger makes a guest appearance as Tez who is an assassin out to kill Superman.  In this episode, Clark must make a difficult decision on going back to Krypton.  Usually, Superman can be a bit hit or miss when trying to argue for the Madness.  I believe this this character Tez, this should count.  He had a vampire nature to him.

The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns (1999, 172 minutes, 666):  Roger co-stars in this mini-series as King Boric who is king of the Fairies.  The leprechauns and the fairies are at war with one another and a forbidden relationship happens.  I found this to be a cross between LORD OF THE RINGS and ROMEO AND JULIET.

Tales from the Crypt:  Forever Ambergris S5, E3 (1993, 25 minutes, 666):  Roger guest stars in the comedy horror anthology series as has-been photographer Dalton who plots the murder of a protege named Ike, played by Steve Buscemi, when they go to Central America.  This does have quite the cast with Daltry, Buscemi, Paul Dooley, and Titus Welliver.

-

SILENT MADNESS

The Phantom of the Opera (1925, 93 minutes, 666):  This silent classic always belongs on a horror segment.  Lon Chaney was an icon as the Phantom before that great Andrew Lloyd Weber musical was made.

Natural Born Killers (1994, 119 minutes, 666):  I think the main characters of this movie qualify enough as serial killers.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010, 95 minutes, 66):  This remake obviously counts as a horror movie so I know I'll get the basic points so let's see if I can find me some bonus points.
-Many high school scenes
-Adults playing teens?

The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014, 86 minutes, 66 1/2):  A masked serial killer is out killing 65 years later.
