Finally after a long wait, this is hitting Blu-ray for the first time. Anchor Bay Films send us information that they will be releasing the original Troma classic "Mother's Day on DVD and Blu-Ray. The film is directed by Charles Kaufman, who is the brother of Troma president and creator of "The Toxic Avenger" Lloyd Kaufman. The DVD and Blu-Ray features an all-new HD transfer, and never-before-seen bonus features, including commentary, behind-the-scenes footage, and a newly created featurette with genre favorite Eli Roth (Producer of The Last Exorcism, Grindhouse and Hostel 1 & 2). After three decades of anticipation, cult classic Mother’s Day is finally getting released, remastered for DVD, and available for the first time on Blu-ray™, September 4th, from Anchor Bay Entertainment, the leader in horror for home entertainment.

Finally, Darren Lynn Bousman's remake of the Troma classic "Mother's Day" has found a distributor. Anchor Bay Films has recently announced that they've acquired the North American rights to the film. The remake stars Rebecca DeMornay, Jamie King, Deborah Ann Woll and Shawn Ashmore and produced by "Tower Heist" director Brett Rattner. No release date has been announced at time.

Anchor Bay Films has announced today it has acquired the horror film Mother’s Day, directed by Saw veteran Darren Lynn Bousman and starring Rebecca DeMornay, Jamie King, Deborah Ann Woll and Shawn Ashmore. The film is a loose remake of the original Troma film of the same name directed by Charles Kaufman. The announcement, which includes rights North American rights, was made by Bill Clark, President of Anchor Bay Entertainment.
