Welcome to Our 2011 Fantasia International Film Festival Coverage

Film Arcade is at it again. First, we brought you our 2011 Sundance showcase in January. In March, it was the 2011 SXSW Film Festival. Now we’re showcasing the 2011 Fantasia International Film Festival, which runs from July 14th to August 7th.

The Fantasia International Film Festival showcases the best horror, sci-fi, action and Japanese independent films out there. The festival takes place every year in Montreal, Canada. A lot of well known horror and other genre films like “Repo: The Genetic Opera”, “Jeepers Creepers 2“, “Inglourious Bastards“, “[REC]”, “Night Watch”, “John Carpenter’s Vampires”, “Rubber”, “Shaun of the Dead” and “The Devil‘s Rejects“ have either had it’s North American, International or World Premiere at this festival. That’s not all, films like “Let the Right One In”, “Scott Pilgrim Vs the World”, “The Last Exorcism”, “The Descent” The Iron Giant” “The Human Centipede”, “Ghost World” and “The Blair Witch Project” have also played at this festival..

During the next couple of weeks, we have information regarding some of the films that are playing at this festival. We’ll have stills, trailers, posters and screening information for most of the film playing at this festival. We’ll start are showcase tomorrow with the opening film of the festival, “Red State”.
