Press Release:
The New Neighbor is about a college student & her brother (Ky Mahone) who notice a puzzling epidemic sweeping their neighborhood timed to the arrival of a new neighbor. Everyone starts to turns pale, they act anemic, they avoid sunlight and they might have a strange bite mark on their neck. They become convinced that the new neighbor is slowly turning everyone into vampires. To complicate matters, sis finds herself inexplicably drawn to the neighbor's son (Ryan Sandefur). Is she a moth being drawn to the film? Or is there a greater evil at work?
What makes our take on the vampire film unique?
Instead of just focusing on vampires biting people, we put the emphasizes on suspense, mystery & the sexy perks of being able to take control of ones mind through the vampiric seduction, and how it would affect a girl that is suspicious of a vampiric outbreak in her small friendly neighborhood, only to be thrown off of by being involuntarily being drawn to and being caught in the middle of a dangerously steamy affair with the one guy she is so worried about?
We also put an emphasizes on how a vampire outbreak would affect people, how it would change the lives of a small community.
How Kickstarter works:
If our campaign is successful, we will have enough money through Kickstarter contributions and private investments so that we can film The New Neighbor in January 2013.
If this Kickstarter campaign does not meet its funding goal, we do not get to keep one single cent. Kickstarter is ALL or NOTHING, meaning that we have to raise 100% of the funds.
You decide on which reward you want to claim or what amount you want to contribute. Kickstarter will bill you $1. At the end of the campaign, if we have reached our funding goal, you will be billed for what you pledged. If not, then no one gets billed. Even if you don't have the money today, as long as you have it by Nov. 5, 2012, you can take part in this campaign and choose a pledge amount.
If you can't contribute financially, please SHARE this link and our story with your Facebook and Twitter friends so that we can get word of mouth out.
What do I get?
We have awesome REWARDS! You can claim a free advance copy of the film, talk with star Ryan Sandefur on the phone or cam to cam via Google Talk, artwork by either Executive Producer Patrick Young or Travis Caverhill, a role in the film, producer credits and oh so much more!
Thanks again for your show of support
